New research by Dr Jay Olshansky of the University of Chicago shows that it'll be a while yet before we can all expect to reach our 100th birthdays. He found that Americans would have to wait until the 26th century before most would reach 100. However, those living in Europe will only have to wait until the next century. Your children could confidently expect to reach 85 years of age (his prediction of life expectancy in 2033 in Europe).
