Hello, looking for a nurse or doctor to answer this question. My friend had has damaged her coxix (spelling) and needs an x-ray, but she is really shy. When she is x-rayed, do they keep her clothes on? iOr do they do it through a gown? Thanks for you help in advance.

Turn up for the X ray and say you want to keep your knickers on.
sometime you have to take clothes off and sometimes you keep them on. If she wears anything with a metal zip or button it has to come off. However, if she does have to undress, she will be given a gown to wear
If you keep your clothes on the x-ray will be hazy in places. That's why they supply a gown with no buttons, zips or elastic, which you usually keep on while the photo is being taken.
i had to have a x-ray on my chest and i had to take everything above the waist off!! but u wear a gown
