I'm thinking about driving from England to Turkey. Can anyone suggest possible routes, or how to go about finding out more info? Many thanks

I can't give you any routes from personal DRIVING experience, but I can suggest a couple of ways that I have travelled in that direction....one way would be to get the ferry over to oostend or calis and make your way across germany to prague. Then go through Hungary to Budapest, head out towards Sofia in Bugaria, and then from the bottom of bugaria you can make your way towards the Bosphorus in northern turkey, you would have enjoyed some fantastic cities. Alternatively, if you drive through France and then then length of italy, you could catch a ferry over to Greece from Brindisi (near Bari) and you can get over to Turkey from there. I know this is a little broad, but it will take you a very long time, so plan well ahead, and use the opportunities to visit, not only the fascinating popular cities, but some interesting unknown ones too! Best of luck.....
Buy a disk called "AUTO ROUTE of EUROPE"... you can plan quickest....longest....most scenic... in fact you can build into the journey almost anything you want.
