I was just wondering whether anyone had succumb to the central heating yet? For the past few years I have put mine on at the end of October, bu tI've spent all afternoon freezing in the house. Have you put yours on yet?

Oh Yes, mine's on for a couple of hours in the morning, and then for about five or six in the evening, our house is quite cold even in Summer so it gets really cold when the autumn air starts to bite!
I put it on just to warm the house up, then I turn it off. We got a new build so thats usually all it takes! I have just put the fan in the garage today, how depressing!
Hi Scarlett, and everyone else! Absolutely, it's blimmin' freezing!
Since beginning of this month, we've had it on for half an hour in the morning, and an hour around bedtime. Gas fire is getting hammered at the moment though (I won't heat the whole house for the sake of it, so the gas fire is really handy). I hate to be cold though, and if we can afford to be warm I am not going to suffer uneccessarily. I have worked with people who don't ever put money away for the gas meter, and they have young children/babies. I don't think I could survive!

Brrrr....Also got the big coat out too :D x
I put it on in the evenings for a little while to take the chill off, but haven't succumbed to putting it on in the morning yet, We have only been in the house since end of June and it seems that if I use the heating in the evening, even though I turn it off to go to bed, the house is still warmish the next morning when I get up around 5:45 so no need to really use it in the mornings yet.
