I have been married to a man for 30 years. and only lived as a married woman for 2 years. we live in the same house. its a long story so I won,t bore you with it but he hates me and I hate him. The house is now a issue - he has withdrawn his payment to pay for the morgage and expenses. I have to make sure that i I have �850 every month to cover his part of the morgage. and the council tax. which is �145.00 a month. I am drawning and I am very stressed he's evil and I cant approach him. what can I do??

I would seriously recommend that you get legal advice. I was in a similar situation some years ago, and since I could prove that I had paid the mortgage on the property, I profited from the sale of the house, and my partner at the time did not get anything. If your current partner has made some contribution in the past, it may be allocated to him on a pro rata basis, but he is guilty of abuse by acting in this way, the law will be on your side. In this situation, I believe that you could be in a position to force him to sell the house on the grounds of unreasonable behaviour.
