I am new to AB and am amazed at how many people write asking for help and advice, but never bother to respond further to any questions you may ask them or indeed thank you all for your often valuable and well thought out responses - Is this the norm- it appears very ungrateful?

its plain rude, i`m a very polite velvet lady, would never be rude or hurl un-necessary insults, (only ones that are mandatory of course)

lol, sure
I concur with Ruby on this.

I doubt that the value of a well-thought-out and well delivered answer maintains that intrinsic value for someone who does not fully appreciate the time and trouble invested to provide it. We can only hope that someone reading the thread will appreciate it otherwise we are left with the benefits we ourselves have attained from engaging in the process.

I likewise concur with you toby that this is a great sight. When someone has provided an especially good answer I will not hesitate to let them know I appreciate it even if it is not my thread.

I'm hope you continue to find the answerbank overall a positive learning experience and look forward to what we might learn from each other in any future debates we happen to participate in.
