What's the going rate for a childs pocket money these days ? A couple of weeks ago I overheard a mother in Woolies . Her boy was looking at a toy and she said something like....no you get it with your �20 pocket money I gave you. Is this usual or not ?

Can't remember pocket money, but I was given 1d (old penny) to go to the toffee shop and I bought half panny chews and a flying saucer.

Gosh yes pussnboots , you could get a lot of sweeties with an old penny in my childhood , used to get , for a halfpenny , 4 shrimps or 4 space ships or 4 chews , even 2 shoe laces or one ice lolly. :-)
