Is it possible to be: White, British, against an open door immigration policy and not be a Racist?

I don't think I am superior to any other race.

A racist is abusive or aggressive towards members of another race on the basis of such a belief.
I am not abusive to members of other races. Therefore I am not a racist; but I do believe now is the time to
strengthen up our border control, and only allow the people who are good for this county in, regardless of nationality. If we don't need them, then don't
let them in.

Yes we are seen as a "soft touch" compared top other nations. What we need to address is why so many people seek to live in the UK (both legal and illegally). Would it be wrong if they were forced to do 2-5 years national service as a pre-req before being allowed in the country? What about the immigrants who claim asylum because of a dictatorship in their own nation (i.e Iraq) should they be allowed to stay once threat has been removed? Would they want to go back and help re-build their country? The UK, England especially, is in danger of losing its Identity. It now appears that we cannot even celebrate St Georges day in the same way as St Patrick or St Andrews and wave our national flag without upsetting somebody. I am tired of this PC world we now live in. Where we have to respect and accept other cultures and watch as ours is flushed down the drain.

Another thing I want to add is the fact that the army (my hubby included) has spent years and a lot of money peace keeping countries to allow the country to remain safe for nationals who come to Britain for a better life. So is it that this isn't working and therefore stop peace keeping?

think this country needs 2 stop paying benefits to non british people and not give them houses. they should have a job, home and speak english to move to this country. im not a racist im mixed race myself but im just a fed up i can't get a house, struggle on benefits and can't go to work till i get a council house cause i would have to earn about 300.00 a week to pay rent, bills, childcare and council tax at the moment. even with a husband. non british people get alot more to live off than we do and they get free bus passes cause they can't speak english.
