Simple question, simple answer. Are you allowed to take a shunt when reversing into a bay between cars.

yes but what if the bays are right-angles to the road
Reverse into the bay the best you can, if not straight just go forward, straighten then back again. But don't forget to take full observations throughout.

Examiners refer to it as "a comfort shunt"
