I have cable broadband +a BT line for the phone.Could my misses use BT line for broadband (yahoo) unplug and let me use blueyonder for my broadband?

As far as I understand it, cable broadband runs from the fibre that your cable company provide. If you are on an ADSL enabled exchange, your missus could use broadband over the telephone line at the same time.

OBonio is correct but this needs a bit of clarification I think. If you have cable broadband and your missus is going to use the BT line then why would you need to unplug anything??

I thought that I would have to unplug the BT modem,when cable was used but needed advice.

Ah, I see. Then yes, as long as you are using 2 separate connections then nothing needs to be unplugged. However, a better option would be to order a faster cable connection and connect both PC's to it using a 2 or more port router or hub. This way it will cost you less per month than 2 separate broadband connections and if only one of you is using the internet at any time then you get a double quick internet connection!! That is of course assuming that you do not have a good reason for wanting 2 separate connections.
