United Nations, New York (IP) - The United Nations (UN) has demoted Peru down to the status of township. Asked why they had done such a thing the UN responded that they could not think of anything that came from Peru nor could they remember the name of anyone from Peru nor anything important that had ever happened there so they had no choice but to demote. At least in Mexico you can get a good taco. They (the UN) also said they had nothing better to do anyway.

Peru was unable to mount much of a reaction what with all the hubbub and temporary sense of excitement and self importance that goes along with the arrival of a smelly meteorite on one's territory or whatever.

Peruvian authorities have removed the meteorite and gotten rid of the meteorite's smelliness by washing it with oxy clean. They are going to put it up for sale on ebay as soon as they can find the following : (A) a computer and (B) someone who knows how to operate a computer. They also have to find someplace where they can plug in the computer and some phone lines would be helpful...

Nolberto "Nobby" Albino Solano Todco (born December 12, 1974, Callao, Peru) is a Peruvian football player who currently plays for English club West Ham United. He is a popular figure in his native Peru, where he is seen as one of the most famous Peruvians. He even has a postage stamp in his name and figure.

His talents in football range from accurate crosses to accomplished dead-ball skills and he has traditionally played either on the right wing, or as a right back during his career. Solano is the first Peruvian to play in the Premier League. He is also an accomplished trumpet player and has set up his own Salsa band, The Geordie Latinos.[1] He has described himself as an 'adopted Geordie'.
Paddington did indeed come from darkest peru, which kind of indicates that Peru is dark, maybe due to lack of sunlight or because it has lots of trees, in which bears can climb.

The trees must grow oranges, to make marmalade with, there must also be open space in which to grow wheat, to make flour, to in turn make bread.

Because Paddington's favorite food was marmalade sandwiches.

Sandwiches were named after the Earl of Sandwich, who must have come from Peru, he was related to British Royalty. Therefore Britain is ruled by a Peruvian.

We must fight this downgrading as it directly affects everyone of us.
