What can you do when someone refuses to cut down their tree that is hitting my roof and damaging it. I have shown the council and they said that i have to sort it out with him. But he is not responding to any correspondance that i send him, can someone advise me on what to do next

Thanks

Unless it is on council owned property the council won't want to know - it is nothing to do with them in an way.

You are entitled to lop off branches overhanging your property - you must return the branches to the owner.

You are entitled to ask him to do it, or pay the bill.

You may have to go the legal route if none of these suggestions are suitable.

At the moment, keep a record of all correspondence and take photos and relevant measurements and so on.
