How long does it take to determine if a lung tumour is malignant or benign following a biopsy?

very difficult for lay person to answer, id ask the surgeon who performed the surgery,
i had a biopsy on my breast about 5 years ago, and it took three days to come back (i had to go back in to be told). Luckily it was fine but i still had to have surgery to take it out. Did they not tell you to come back? As i was told to go back in three days.
Hi, where I work, we tell patients that pathology results can take up to two weeks to come back. Hope this helps, xx
I had biopsy for breast cancer and it took two weeks.
