Where would I find the best prices on pottery in the malaga area? I will be staying in Marbella for 10 days with a hired car so I'm to drive to other cities.

Your best bet is one of the markets - Feugarola is a good one - it's on Tuesday's i think. Spanish markets start and finish early - around 8.00 - 1.00 and pack up for siesta, so head there mid-morning. never take the first price, haggle. If they say 100E, offer them 60, and then compromise in the middle, but if you think they;re asking too much, walk away. Either they'll chase after you, and you can haggle some more, or they will let you walk, because business has been good. Rest assured, if you do beat them down in price, they will be very sullen as they take your money - ignore it, it's Spanish custom. they are used to British tourists who are too polite to haggle - they regard us as a soft touch, so ignore their mittering, and take your pottery away. Don't let your better nature be preyed upon - the Spanish traders don't have one - leave yours at the hotel!
