started to watch it wanted to see it thru but had to go to work, what did everyone think about it, hope it is repeated!
Shadow , How can you say that ? , I do hope you never have dementia , as I am a carer for a man who fought for his country , and now has to really on others to look after his needs . Well you are obviously a very shallow person . Enough said .
Yes, I did watch it and it was absolutely heartbreaking. How his wife coped with that for so many years I don't know. The level of help offered to them both was virtually useless. The NHS really aught to look at priorities and stop NHS tummy tucks, boob jobs and tattoo removal etc. in favour of better care and treatment for people with problems that really matter.
well said Pirate1 i fully agree with you
Pirate 1 I agree too, I admired his wifes courage and determination not to give up on the man she clearly loved. I must be really heartbreaking to see a loved one suffer so much and turn into a totally different person.
Oh and I don't think all these druggies should get help either, they chose to take drugs!

thanks for your replies, i thought the programme was one of the saddest ive seen on t v for a very long time. and i admire all who were involved in the making of it
I watched it. But what I couldn't understand is why they let the poor man live for so long. In the end he had to be put in a carrier to get in bed. He was skeleton, and was wearing a nappy as he was obviously incontinent.

If he had been an animal, they would of let him go to sleep. I thought it sad that his grandchildren were also there, seeing their grandad in this way. Euthanasia should be made legal in these sad cases.
