Can I get this cheaper as a student, or is there a difference between it and the normal version? Also, do I need some proof that I'm still in education to get the discount?
OK, thanks alot. Bet I still cant afford it though!
I'm running Microsoft Works like, 98 at the moment - it's crazy! And I'm not privaliged enough to have PowerPoint, just PowerPoint Viewer.
Grrrr x
Besides there are some P2P sites that share files which are already checked by site owners for potential threats before they are made available to others.
Considering I help on security forums, I beg to differ. Those who choose to use cracked software are always the most heavily infected and as it usually starts with a rootkit, they dont even know it until the RK has loaded them up with crap.
wideboy's Open Office suggestion is good if you can't afford MS Office: it's free, compatible with MS Office and (unlike some of the other suggestions here) completely legal.
Thanks LeMarchard =)
Thrash & Mac - did I ask for an argument on my post? No, didn't think so.
Thanks for the advice, I'll have a look at open office, but I need it to work with the computers in 6th form.... I'll find out, thanks again x
Hi Clairey-s! I have had to re-boot my comp:, and before I used MS.office, I had all my files on a external drive, so I never lost anything. The MS office disk wouldn't install, so I used Open Office, apart from one, ALL my, Excel and Word files worked, so until you can afford MS office, use it.
This isn't really my advice, I got it from Ethel.
