I'm off to Leeds this weekend with some friends (all guys in our late 20s). Can anyone recommend any decent pubs and clubs in the town centre to sample whilst we're up there? Many thanks.

What type are you looking for? Two big dance clubs near the station are Bondi Beach (with revolving dance floor) and Majestyk. There's also 70s theme bar Flares, Cult Movie/TV Theme bar FAB, and a couple of Wetherspoons. If you want a sweaty free watered down drinks dump where your feet stick to the floor (opinion, not to be taken as fact) then you could try Heaven And Hell, though only for the culture shock.
The Hi-Fi Club, plays quality, funky music. It's intimate, and has a friendly crowd. And excellent range of drinks. http://www.thehificlub.co.uk This BBC Site has a review of all Leeds Clubs; http://www.bbc.co.uk/leeds/music/club/clubs_a_e.shtml

Cheers for the suggestions so far guys. I reckon a visit to Bondi Beach and the Hi-Fi club will be in order (and by the sounds of it, a visit from a local demolition firm to Heaven and Hell is also in order).
