Put in the name of an area and it tells you the best beaches.

A quick search lists some nice beaches near Scarborough.

There are also a couple listed for Bridlington and Hornsea.
All of them as you are bang in the middle of the country - it would take you an hour and half to get to either west or east coast. Cleethorpes - I know you said nice but is prob the quickest at M62 - M18 - M180 at about an hour and half from you. Or A64 all the way to Scarborough.
