How much money should we be aiming to take with us on a 14day villa holiday in Orlando in November? 2 Adults, 1 6-yr old and a teenager? Theme park tickets paid for already...

Is your villa and airfare paid for as well? It is a tourist town and everything is overpriced. Make sure you bring a credit card in case you use up all of your cash. Our family went to FL. 2 years ago and stayed at my Aunt's - she cooked for us, got us free tickets to many parks , let us use her car and we spent over $3,000.00. The best place that we went to was Discovery Cove- you can swim with the dolphins, scuba dive a great place to bring a 6 year old and a teenager. If you go to the Cove you also get a week long pass to seaworld which is wonderful too. Enjoy your trip
In park meals $10-$15 per head for cafeteria style food. Ditto for drinks and snacks per day in the parks.

Tourist restaurants $25 per head for 2 courses including soft drinks

Petrol - $80 unless you are a distance from the major sights.

Other places to visit - $15-$50 each (Kennedy Space Centre, Fantasy of Flight, Boggy Creek Airboat Rides)

If you are self-catering I suggest Publix instead of the almighty WalMart - allow what you would usually pay in the UK for groceries.

Also clothing is very cheap - allow for shopping money.

Thanx folks! Our airfare/car/villa/themeparktickets are already paid for, and we were reckoning about 2,000 - so looks like we're along the right lines.... Thanx again.
