Im travelling from Manchester to New Zealand in November with a stop over in Singapore for about 9 hours.

Ive been advised to arrange a room at the Ambassador Hotel located in the the airport @ Singapore so I will be able to catch up on sleep and have a shower.

Has anyone done this before? If so, when I land at Singapore, will I be able to collect my suitcase and then check it in again the next day, or is it automatically checked in for me and I will have to bring a change of clothes, wash bag etc in my hand luggage?

If you did stay at this hotel, what did you think of it?

Cheers !

Why not contact your airline or the person who advised you to book into this hotel. They should know.
We,ve stayed in one of the transit hotels in Changi Airport.I don't know what ours was called. It was basic, but clean & comfortable. We were going to NZ too.Our luggage was going through to Aukland,so we packed stuff for an overnight stay in our handluggage.Changi is a brilliant airport.Anything you might not be able to carry in handluggage, you will be able to get there,at a reasonable price.

Changi airport is a destination in itself. Beautiful - open ponds with Koi fish and plenty to do. Also trips arranged into Singapore. If you go to this airport website and click on transit they give info on short term hotels staying within terminal etc http://www.changiairport.com/changi/en/index.h tml
