Im reading lots of posts regarding the concert in london for diana and all the posts relating to missing her and how touched everyone is by missing her.
Now say what you want to me but as far as im concerned she was a rich sort who was a nursery teacher then married a guy a lot older with big ears. They never really loved each other he had feelings for another woman, now his wife .She had affair with a guards officer james hewitt then her and her hubby split. She started seeing the playboy son of an egyptian shopkeeper and died in a car crash in paris.
So why all the fuss??Theres a lot more important things to worry about than a dead ex -princess / ex - nursery teacher.Do you think folk are overreacting and just joining in the hysteria which was prevelant at the time of her death?
I mean what did she do for us?
I dont want folk saying charity etc etc we supported her paid for her extravagant lifestyle and so she supported some charities.Big deal id sign up for the job tomorrow beats working for a living id say.

i knew the dewey eyed wouyld come outta the woodwork after the concert ended.
dry your eyes shes gone and we all know it.
like i said there are more important things than diana.
I think (being one of the older peeps on here) that I remember her with great fondness because she was only a few years younger than me and we both had sons - mine being slightly older and we were both carrying at the same time. I'm sure it makes a difference and you young ones cant remember her the same way because you are too young!!!
I went to London 2 days before the funeral and the sight and smell of the flowers, the atmosphere created by so many shocked people is something I will always remember. The photos and newsreel did not go close to catching it. She was not unique but all those who recount her special ways cant all be wrong. If someone is special to you there it is and no one else should belittle it.
You are cold hearted. I believe Diana loved Charles when they first met, and married. She was just there to produce heirs to the throne, while he was still having an affair with Camilla.

Yes, she led a privileged life. But she was still a person, a caring woman, a good mother, and people warmed to her.

I was not a huge fan of hers, but admired her, and thought the concert tonight was a fitting tribute to her.
One of those strange moments again where I agree with you.

I feel for her children I really do but I dont really care about her at all. She was by no means the perfect role model and I quite like Charles and his horsy missus to be honest. I think she would be proud of her sons though, I have seen a few interviews leading up to this concert and I think they have dealt with the wuestions in a very dignified manner.
To set the record straight, legend, you didn't support Diana, you didn't pay for her 'extravagant lifestyle' - her husband did with income from his estates. And do you honestly believe that if you supported a charity, people would pay good money to turn up and see you the way Diana could raise phenomenal amounts for the charities she supported. She was so much more than the ignorant people who have posted on this have said but what's the point of arguing with people who can't spell Eton or Menage a Trois.
FoxLee why do people like you feel the need to insult other ABers who have a different opinion than you, you are no better than anyone else on AB, everyone is entitled to their views, please keep your insults to yourself in future, we can all be brave behind a computer screen, bet you would not insult us to our faces, your sort never do.

the beautiful people who miss di are just guttermouthed trash

go away foxy you arrogant fool.
So it's terrible of me to refer to some people on here as ignorant but you feel it's okay to say the foulest things about someone who can't defend herself. You should re-read some of the things you've written if you're talking about guttermouthed people. But then ignorant people like you don't have a wide vocabulary at your disposal so have to result to base insults. And how much of what you've said would you have said to Diana's face!
while I wouldn't wish anybody to die in whatever circumstances I do agree with you legend and I do wish they would stop saying everybody loved her, I didn't, after all she was no angel at least charlie only went with the woman that he truly loved, not like diana ,there was quite a few I believe
People combine Dianas private life with her public one when passing judgement. Isnt it possible to admire her public life and work alone without condemning her for her private life? 'Ah yes she might well have done good deeds but she slept around you know so that negates them' If your home life is unhappy and you seek love (in whatever context) elsewhere does that negate your efforts in your job?
Legend, you are forever cracking me up!!!
When you put it like that how can anybody argue the point!
You should be on stage .
