Usually caused by a build up of c*** in the throttle body or idle valve. this is the ADY engine and the valve is easy to remove and clean wih carb cleaner. the throttle body and butterfly can be cleaned in situ after removing the large hose between the air filter housing and intake
We had a similar problem with our car, but it only happened in cold weather when you depressed the clutch. As far as I know, this is due to the cold weather start mechanism not functioning correctly.
That one sounds more like a Pierburg 2E2 carb. problem
