I am going to start a higher Diploma in Psychology in the summer, will this (together with life experience) be sufficent to start a practice upon completion?

unfortunately not, as this link will show you will need a degree in psychology 2:1 or above plus relevant experience.

As amonty said unfortunately not. To start a pratcice you do need a:

- 2:1 or higher bachalors degree with honours
- loads of experience
- You need to be B.P.S. certified
- And possibly a masters to actually open your own practice

But you can move into a different field. Life coaching, NLP, business coaching or coaching in general is something you can do and open your own practice with. Coaching services have recently had a big boom, there are loads of people now offering this service.

Thanks Chubb this was more of what I was thinking of rather than a full blown psychologist thing! i.e business coaching etc
