I am Driving to Hyde Park. I' m driving in from around Cambridge down the M11. Can anyone tell me a place I could park outside of London, safe palce to leave a car, and take the Tube in to Hyde Park. Someone mentioned Epon Forest, is that good place. And what tube would I take. Would appreciate any help as I do not know London at all. Many Thanks

Epping station is the place you're thinking of, the end of the central line.

Come off the M11 at J7 and follow signs to Epping, around 3 miles or so from the motorway, and the station's not hard to find -be warned, though, on weekdays the car park although big, fills up pretty quickly.

Another alternative is to go down the M11 all the way to Woodford and follow directions to Walthamstow: come off at waterworks corner and follow Forest Road to Blackhorse lane station on the Victoria line, Blackhorse Lane station has a big car park that never entirely fills up.
If I was going to Hyde Park I would drive all the way there and park in the massive car park which is under Hyde Park, accessed via Park Lane.
toureman,my friend its 4 a hour in that car park, blody rip off.

Thanks guys
Mr rusty many thatnks for great detail
No problem: I live near epping, and often use the tube.

On top of the 4 an hour for Hyde park car park, you'd also need to stump up 8 congestion charge or whatever it is for the westward extension.....tube is definately the way to go!
