Why in a country of free speach am i told what to say and think? I have the ability to think for myself, God (whoever he is) gave me that right, so why am i confined to having to skirt around what i think, just in case i offend someone? And why is it, these PC, ????? and others can tell me what to think and say and yet i can't be offended, when they do offend my brain and logic on a daily basis? If you want us all to become comunists, just come out and say it.

I am going to be a bit sycophantic and say your answer on a previous post on racism or not, was fab, if only I could think like you let alone write like you, and thought first part of the answer was great but last paragraph is too high brow for me or I do not agree. Can not tell.
I understand my principals of caring for others have been influenced by a culture of caring and considering for others, valuing others welfare. Not an individualism. Can you make your answer a bit simpler?

you make reference to not wanting to make racist comments. As someone who does not want to be racist in any action including language I agree. However I find your language and expressed views racist. I accept you want to be able to express your views but surely if you avail yourself of this and do so in a way that is racist, you can not claim you don't want to be racist. Please also advice me who are your fellow put upon native people. I am white and born in this country and can trace progenitrix and progenitors some way back but do not feel any kith or kinship with you. I feel far more kinship with posters on this site who I know have a different racial background. We at least seem to share a similar view on humanity

reacheme, i just want to say that i agree with every word that you have said, if something is not done to stop this country taking in all the sick and idle dregs of Europe, we will be a third world country ourselves. patents at my Doctors are being told to leave after years of going there to accommodate all the immigrants that have landed nearer to the surgery, most of the old peoples holmes are being closed , a lot of the old folks die, does'nt matter though, guess who is going to live in the holmes after many thousands of pounds have been spent on modernisation, yes you have guessed correct, dont talk to me about racism please, there are many more examples, but if you bury your head in the sand they wont exist.

Thanks all, Fred West didn't beat up the girl i have know for 18 years. Since the Irish have stopped bombing us, there is only one type of person doing it. I am from the school 'if the sh17 fits, wear it'. How could i prove my point by using white people as targets, do you think the white scum don't get up my nose, trouble is, i can call them what ever i wish, no one cares. OK, lets say i am a racist, what difference does that make, we are still at war with certain people, they will still want to kill us, liking them or hateing them makes no difference, they want us dead. I think what pees me off the most, the people you stand up for are far more racist than any white person. I don't care what they say, as long as i can say what i wish.

People of all colours, genders, religions and hair type, get arrested every day, you would have to hate everyone, but seeing your on this 'arrest' feel, did you watch crimewatch last night, it's amazing how a minority is the majority of wanted people in this country, if you want to go down that road, when 5% of the population are causing 60% of the crime, they should be no longer welcome. And before you answer, i would check it out, cus i am right. I don't want anyone rounded up, i don't even mind if they call me names, i just want the right to stand up for myself.

i never said fred west did..why the twist..The thing is racist remarks promotes ignorance,and i do agree that something needs to be done about everyone flooding in from everywere,however you mentioned the people i stick up for are more racist than any white person ....well whos the people i stick up for like? you mean anyone from a different colour skin than you or from a different country...You dont sound very intelligent when you put things like that ..for example a little somalian boy deserves to be verbally abused because its your right to do so?.well no i think it would be better to treat people with respect and kindness and teach that from an early age so people can be more refined with each other .if you had a son or daughter and they could hear you using derogrative words about other peoples race ect it will spread hatred ..so you would be passing on your hatred and frustrations instead of teaching them how to be happppy .like i said before theres good and bad in every race colour creed ect...
Hitler was a Nazi, ethnic cleansing is not what i am asking for and i don't want to shout out racist remarks in the street or wherever. It's not about that, i wish you could see the difference, but i suppose when you can only think what you are told to think, it must be a problem. I couldn't give a toss about ones colour, variaty is the spice of life, religion is not a problem either, as long as it is not promoting my death. I think the main problem with this thread, and with all due respect to Reaches, is that the passion with which he feels has prevented him from articulating his points to the satisfaction of other ABers.
I have heard of no circumstance in which a Muslim/Asian/Black/insert your own noun has been offended by any demonstration of a particularly white/British/Christian custom or tradition. Usually it is a well meaning white person who perceives that there may be offence caused and steps in before-the-fact to intervene and nannies the rest of us into compliance. Although, there is the famous Welsh case where the making of Mother�s Day cards was discouraged in school because several of the children didn�t have mothers�. Common sense seems to desert people in positions of authority at times.
Of course, we are proud to call ourselves an inclusive country. Of course, people who have experienced hardship overseas and see Britain as a place of refuge should be given every opportunity to live a safe and happy life here. Britain has grown (in all senses) with the addition of the best parts of �foreign� cultures. All that we should ask of these welcome peoples is that they live a life of inclusion not separation. This is a small island and would benefit all the more if its inhabitants could move forwards with a united purpose.

In our frustration we wish to speak out loudly at the iniquity of accepting all that a society has to offer whilst inwardly despising that same society and plotting to do it harm. It is not always possible to express such frustrations with elegance or temperance, and this in itself may have more to do with education than any deeply held racist convictions. Using the language of a racist does not necessarily mean the person using that language IS a racist. There has always been colloquial language used to describe �peoples of difference� � they may not be kind and they may be clumsy but they are rarely meant to give offence; unless, of course, they are delivered with vitriol directly to the intended mark, which is shameful in any circumstance.
Reaches has given us some examples of unacceptable behaviour and whilst I appreciate what he means by these cases, it would not be unreasonable to substitute any group of male individuals into the scenario. This takes us onto another thread which is that of respect���and how personal conduct influences respect or the lack of it from others. And this in turn brings us onto the notion of respect and when it is due and how that is taught.
As I said at the beginning, I broadly support reachesme and would be mortified if any other ABers thought I was racist. I don�t see the need to provide credentials as that always sounds forced and defensive, but please have some sympathy for reachesme and his very real frustrations.
