i want to buy a used car preferably a people carrier as its for family use.I am a new driver and my insurance is going to be expensive.What would you recomend that would not cost a fortune?

The VW Touran generally gets good reviews. It's got 7 seats and it's been around long enough for there to be some reasonably priced second-hand models available. Most importantly, unlike most other cars with more than 5 seats, it's only in insurance group 6.
