Can anyone tell me why my 10yr old male German Shepherd, Buster drags his bottom along the floor? He doesn't leave any marks or anything. Anyone know?

Google up canine anal glands for a complete education....
It sounds like impacted anal glands. You have to empty them which is not a very nice job but vet nurses will go it for you and most dog groomers too.
it sounds a bit like worms but i am no vet and i don't like the sound of cleaning the anal glands.
he may well have worms. When was the last time he was wormed. Get worming tablets for both roundworm and tapeworm
Cleaning the anal glands the anal glands will be full
Not the best of jobs for the vet a finger up the dogs bum to sqeeze the glands out.
Only trouble it might have to be done often
Actually they squeeze the anal glands from the outside. (Still probably the most unpleasant task associated with keeping dogs.)
For an explanation in full glorious technicolour (complete with moving parts) see

actually it can be done by squeezing from the outside and the inside, but if you do it from the outside there is a big chance it will squirt out and hit you and it wont normally empty it fully, if you just stick your finger up the bum tho it a bit gross but it only ends up on your finger and the tissue when you wipe up after.
