Cliques on AB

I keep seeing clique being mentioned on AB....As far as I'm concerned there are no cliques..AB has been around for some 7 years now (me being a member for 3 of them)...Alot of the time it's names that you recognise and just say "Hiya how are u?".......

I've been Liverpoollou, Bez, Redbel and now red~bez......but I did ask ED to delete me old names.......just fancied a new name :)

When I chose my name, which is not very original, funny or clever. I couldn't believe it was accepted.....
found out after that there is another Miss random, but not with the same capital letters.
So sent a mail to the ED asking to unregister, so as to not cause any confusion or embarrassment. Not yet had a reply..... so just carried on using it. If the cap fits. lol

Miss Random, thats all well and good but what if the other posted something nasty....I know we are only names.

Well that's what I was worried about, or if we were on the same thread and people thought we were the same person.
But until the ED replies or deletes me I don't know how to change my name. Been on all the FAQ's and help pages, but they just say 'unless there is a very valid reason for changing name, it's not possible'.
Think I'll have to wait for the other Missy to complain.

Getting back to the topic.........there's always been cliques on AB, due to the very nature of AB itself. We all chat here (even though not really supposed to!) and because of this it's inevitable we become friendlier with some more than others. Email addresses are swapped, etc etc etc.

Are cliques a bad thing? Narrr, not really. A particular bunch of people will dominate Ab for several months, then move elsewhere and then another bunch move in to take their place.

Some of us (me) have never been in a clique, we just lurk on the fringes, occasionally spouting crap to anyone that'll listen ;-)

cliques on A B off course there are, only recently we have witnessed one aber acting as a personal minder for another aber, even recently seen a long departed member allerted via e mail to give support,,,,,,,,,,, coruption is rife even in pretend world.
