Anybody currently on this? How are you getting on with it?
I've got a hospital consultation about going on Roaccutane but feel reluctant! I've heard there is a gel also available, anybody on this as well and is it just as affective as the tablet form? Thanks to all

Hi,
I havent ever been on these ones in particular, but when i had acne i vivited a chinese herbalist and they gave me some tablets and a liquid to put onto it. Worked wonders. the tablets and liquid cost me about 21.00 and last 2/3 months. It is a little red bottle with a rubber stop cap inside. I cant spell the name and dont currently have the bottle anymore. The tablets are ina little white bottle with a blue sticker.
Worth a try if you dont want to try the above.

my son had two rounds of roaccutane, which both worked well for a while, but his acne came back within 6 months each time. as will be explained to you, it is a severe treatment and your liver function will be monitored while you take it. there have been reports that it can cause depression, and i would say it did have an impact on my son in that area. my son now takes oxytetracyclene every day, which keeps his acne under control.
roaccutane does work well for some people. you need to have all the information available to make your own informed decision as to whether or not to take it. good luck.
