When is the best time to travel to the Maldives or Indian Ocean area? I.e. When is the monsson season there?

If you're looking for extra sunshine and warmth, i would recommend going betwen December and April which is the dry season. Be warned: it's more expensive and resorts can be fully booked!

I went at the end of Nivember before it got too expensive and the weather was fabulous - hot and sunny every day.
