Revs Prob

I have an Audi A3, 1.8 (not turbo) 29k on clock, the revs sit at 3700 at 70 mph, does this sound high
its been serviced and everything is ok and i have had the engine diagnostic check done and there are no fault codes, any advice or anyone got same car?

prev Lost acceleration and lots of smoke when I hit 70mph or above

lve also got a A3 1.8 ON A1999 .i fix cars for aliving and your car is fine .my car is the same it fells kike you neede to change up a gear (6) but ive only got (5).
