Use a tinted moisturiser instead
I use Benefit foundation . You get a product called Dr feel good, which you put on the problem
areas. I find it really good.
I have the exact same problem, no matter how well i exfoliate and moisturise before hand i get a very flaky t-zone.
My friend has recommended a wonderbalm like this one from boots http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp? productid=1070412&classificationid=1010880 but i havnt had chance to get some yet.
I also had my make-up done recently for a wedding and the woman used ID bare escentuals make-up. I have to say it was brilliant and my skin was not at all flaky for the entire day.
I have used the wonderbalm before from boots, it is really good but has a very strong smell and is quite shiny (like a lip balm more than a cream) It's really good for dry elbows, hands, patches of skin.
Sadly I don't think using it on your face would work as it is not delicate enough, and I am sure it would make your eyes water.
Good luck, hope you find something.
thanks for the tip Miss Inquiry! :)
try using an exfoliating liquid like Molton Brown Exfoliating Toner or Tendskin on a regular basis. Exfoliating little and often works better...then use a primer under the foundation. Both Nars and Ruby & Millie do one. this stops the foundation soaking into the skin and looking patchy!
Boots no.7 Intelligent Colour foundation is great for dry skin and it gives you a flawless finish. the other great thing about it is that it comes in shades fair /medium/ dark so your guarenteed to find your true shade!! and it costs less than 14.
also try to exfoliate twice a week to get rid of dead skin and use a good moisturiser e.g Guinot hydrazone for dry skin, bit expensive but its well worth it and it lasts ages!
hope that helps!
use a MAXFACTOR 2-step NATURAL70 founfation!!!its perfect, i used to have the same problem but it went away when i bought this foundation, its not cheap 12 i think but its worth each penny!!!
