when i click on stuff on websites, they dont open jsut seems to refresh the page? why wont it open anything? (eg, like links to other pages or pop ups)

It coulod be because you have a popup blocker? try holding down the shift key when you click on the link.

its not the shift key its the control key bottom left key CTRL
