my six month old son is falling into a deep sleep after some solids and an eight ounce bottle at around 6pm, subsequently he is waking at 3am for breakfast and playtime! any suggestions into pushing his last feed round so we can get some sleep?

have you tried dream feeding him? It can help push baby through for an extra few hours as they are not hungry.
Dont wake him but give him a bottle at about 9 or 10pm. he will drink it in his sleep and it will be slow so he shouldnt need winding afterwards.
or how about delaying the bottle until bed time?
I agree with redcrx. My 6 month old daughter has a solid feed around 5 to 5.30ish and her 6 ounce bottle at 7. She then sleeps right through til 7.We may just be lucky!
As with all babies listen to all advice and then do what works.
Good luck.
I agree with Harveypool. My daughter has 6oz at 3, tea at 5-5.30 and a 8 oz bottle at 7-7.30. my health visitor advised little and often until you find a routine to suit you. Good luck xx
As a mother who had two children with only 12 months age difference, I found the best thing was feed them a 'solid' meal about 6, then milk before I went to sleep. If they woke in the night I wouldn't turn lights on or play, just kept it low key, reasuring but boring and fed cool water rather than milk. I could cope with an early start if I had a good nights sleep and it established a good pattern for when they were a bit older. Hope that helps.
