Often there are no symptoms which is why it is one of the worst type of cancers. You could get a scan and be physically examined by a gynaecologist though the best method of detecting problems within the female pelvis is by diagnostic laparoscopy. If you have any doubts or worries you MUST see your GP. Sorry if I am scaring you a little, but if you have any concerns at all you have to get checked out. Any previous history of it within the family?

one of my aunties died last week of it. she was only 35 so the whole family are trying to get info on how it could be detected earlier as she found out she had it in January
Sorry to hear about your aunt. As I said it's one of the worst types of cancer(some call it 'silent') and people often find out when it's at an advanced stage. Any worries, consult your GP.
You can get a blood test called CA125 which can help, but there's no national screening available yet. Blood test and scan will probably be the test. As your aunt was so young, the family may well need screening, so follow Philtaz' advice and go to your GP.
My sister died in December of ovarian cancer....she only went to the doc because of a bloated feeling in her abdomen and thought it was `just womens` trouble`....after several operations and umpteen courses of chemo in less than 18 months she died at 50. It`s one of the most horrific cancers imaginable and almost impossible to detect early. Please see your doc ASAP...don`t delay.
