If I were you get in contact with CSA as they will sort out monies and where it should go. CSA doesn't need to be as negative as the papers say to sort out. As you both share his time you should be able to sort something out. Also try talking to Citizens Advice on what benefits you could claim they should help with any questions you have.

From my dim and distant memory I think one of the forms asks how many nights your child is resident with you. Why not request the forms yourself and fill them in and send them back. I am sure that you should either be allowed some benefits or it would be taken in to account somewhere. Darned if only I could remember!

Sorry!
Its the CSA form that asks for how many nights you each have your child.
It may or may not affect the benefits thou. Can you not arrange with your ex to have a percentage of the tax credits - or - phone the tax credits people and see if you are able to claim on your own merit of having your child for 3 nights.

Good luck
