I'm 28 and have only thrown up properly once in my whole life, when I was about 6 and I was asleep at the time! So in 22 years I have never thrown up once. Can anybody beat this? No wonder I have such a phobia about it!

I can only remember being sick once other than being pregnant and that was over indulging in the alcohol when I was young. Now I will do everything in my power to stop myself being sick, even if by doing so I would feel a whole lot better. I can't bear it.

I'm about the same! I was about 12 or 13 but since then i havent vomitted once (im 35 now).
Its not that i'm scared to i simply dont vomit - if i have an upset stomach it all happens at the other end (too much information!)
I thought i was alone ! Perhaps we should set up a help group "Non Vomit Anonymous" or 'NonVomAnon' perhaps.

I have been with my husband for 17 years and he has never thrown up in all that time. He is sure that he has thrown up but can't remember how long ago.

I on the other hand, throw up at the drop of a hat. I throw up in cars, on boats, when I'm hungover, when I have a cold, and sometimes I throw up when I start my period!

i also have a phobia about being sick, it absolutely terrifies me and i do anything i can to avoid it. trouble is, once its on your mind its hard to stop yourself. last time i blew chunks was when i had food poisoning 10 yrs ago.

I have to join in this question,as I am absloutely terrified of either vomiting myself or --more so-- if anyone else does so.I have often wondered if hypnotism could cure me from the terror that goes through me whenever anyone else is sick.I'm glad I'm not alone in this "phobia";I am the same gary baldy,it all uses a different exit as an alternative from vomiting. I was not sick when I was pregnant, and I may even be able to improve on the already impressive records-it must be around 50 years since I was sick-I remember I was at school, and that was around 50 years back!! as I am now 66.

Hope all these revelations don't backfire and records are broken. Please may I join the "NonVomAnon" Society? it would certainly be an exclusive bunch of folk!!!

I am soon to be 27, and the last time I was sick was 20yrs ago at the age of 7. it was a horrible experience, and ever since, I have gone to great lengths not to be sick. I consider this to be my one and only phobia. I think it has something to do with not wanting to lose control.
I've done it only three times in the last 42 years - and only one of those was through drink. Quite chuffed really!

I'm not exactly sure why I have a phobia of being sick, but I'm positive I do. I can't stand it. I'm only 14 years old, and if I see, read, of hear about anyone getting sick, I automatically think I'm going to get sick as well. I don't know what to do. I have Panic Attacks about getting sick constantly, and I just don't know what to do. It's extremely fustrating, and annoys me.

hello im katie im 16 and ive got a massive phobia of sick i cant remember the last time i was sick but ive been hypnotised for it twice and it DOESNT work its made me worse than before im not so bad when people are sick around me its more me being sick i hate it i always feel ill like everyday and its all in my head. I have panic attacks all the time and i shake when i feel ill and i cant talk to people when i feel sick because it involves moving the mouth. I do anything to stop myself from being sick i find brushing my teeth helps because it makes a nice taste in my mouth and stops you from thinking of it i also feel that doing something to keep my mind off of feeling ill makes me feel better if anyone has any questions about hypnotism or wants to talk about this phobia email me on [email protected] hopefully speak 2 u soon
