it does not mean anything, its red so it stands out
It could mean its the most poweful engine in the diesel range. On Golfs the I is red on the GTI turbo but not in the standard GTi.
It goes off the bhp, red i-110 red di-130 and all red tdi-150
the red in tdi is 130 bhp
i agree johnant"red i" 130 bhp
A red i isn`t a 130, look up at my previous post ;)
The more red letters, the greater BHP. to correct Teash, post w/2000, no red letters is 100bhp, red i was 115bhp, red di was 130 and red tdi was 150 bhp. Prior to this, red di was 110, red i was 100 then all silver was 90. Don't go for an SDI unless you're mental!
or something like that
the i just means injection, you will only see tdi on vw audi seat or skoda as vw owns the copyright for it.
