Haven't used it for a couple of years and can't remember...  do I stop using it when skin on face starts to get red and sore, or when it scabs over?  Thanks all.  Red and sore at the moment, been almost four weeks.

Have you got a new tube/pot?  I hope you're not using old cream.

It's used for different conditions so check with your GP as to when you should stop using it

Dr gave me a new tube.  I have been using for almost four weeks, not scabbed over yet so not sure whether to stop.  Dr said use for four weeks. Thanks Barry.

The information leaflet states use for at least four weeks so keep going until you have spoken to the GP

I've to take OH to York hosp. on Thurs. to check on his post-skin-tumour surgery head wounds (doing well thanks) and he also has a red and angry, still exuding, new patch - so I intend to ask about it.  I may have more info then and if I do I'll post back.

Jourdain, if you mention Efudix that would be really helpful.  With my last pre cancerous mark, it scabbed over after about four weeks as far as l can remember, and it took five weeks for the scab to fall off.  All clear now but was red for a long time afterwards.  Thank you in advance!

Hello smurfchops.   Was a bit too tired yesterday to post - a long day and very heavy traffic (half an hour to get into York Hosp car park after an hour's driving).

I did mention Efudix, but we did not see a doctor, however the staffnurse went to find one and ask for me.  OH's patch has now scabbed over by the way. Definite answer was to keep using it for the full 4 weeks. Hope this helps a bit.  🙂
