Is there a general 'rule of thumb' for roasting a whole duck? For example how long and at what temperature?

Thank you

Prick the duck all over with a fork. I raise mine up on the wire from the grill pan so that it is not sitting in the fat.A 5ib duck will take about 2 and a half hours Gas mark5 190 cels.360fh.
You might like to make sure its unwrapped and leave it out a while before roasting if you want a gorgeous crispy skin. 24 hours is good!!
