Laxatives will lose water, the calories are digested into the body before the laxative takes effect.

You will dehydrate cause all kinds of damage to your body, probably bloat as your body tries to hang on to the water it's missing too and when you stop you will probably pile it back on and more - believe me i've been there.

Please please don't go down this road, it can be very hard to stop and is a slippery slope as you start taking more and more to get any effect.

Jenna is right. Laxatives are ok if used on a once a day basis IF you have sufficient intake of (non alcohol, non caffeine ) fluids. Water preferably. Over use can be incredibly detrimental to renal function and therefore affect metabolism generally. Don't explore this route of weight loss - it is dangerous if abused.
havinmysay,

Please take notice of what jenna has said, no way should anybody do that to themselves, not a good idea,it will not help to take weight off and you will feel terrible, don't do it, Ray
Try this as well for what they can do to you...

I have suffered from eating disorders and know the harm they can do to you, it's really not pleasant and having spent a number of periods in hospital and gone to hell and back (and probably put other people through hell) trying to get myself better, part of which has included trying to kick an addiction to laxatives and the like it's really not worth it to lose a some pounds.

Think how horrible a stomach bug is, the runs, big time, often uncontrollable stopping you from doing anything, stomach cramps, feeling horribly sick, being dehydrated then either risking dehydration and potential death or having to eat and drink to keep going and bloating up and messing with your metabolism so you're worse off than you were in the first place.

Whether it's for you or anyone else hon, it's just not worth it xxx
