Samsung MP3 with built in speaker / MP3 software

Hi, I am trying to decide which mp3 player to buy for my holidays and have been told there is a Samsung which has a built in speaker. Does anyone know if the speaker is good enough or would I be better off buying seperate speakers?
Also, can anyone tell me if I have to buy a special software to transfer my fav cd's from my pc to the mp3 player or will my Windows Media Player be able to do it for me.
