I have a small compartment style freezer and it needs defrosting regularly which is a complete nightmare. I've seen something in the Kleeneze catalogue called Freezer Liner which you put in and I presume the frost sticks to it and you peel it away and it can be washed and used again. Has anyone used anything like this?
And for the record, buying a new one is out of the question because we rent our house and the landlord knows of the problem but wasn't prepared to get a new fridge freezer so we have to put up with it!

No need to spend any money.

As soon as you notice it icing up, wrap the contents in layers of newspaper and put a bowl of boiling water in the freezer box.

Close the door. After an hour it should be melted enough to wipe away.

Thanks for the advice but I'd be doing that every other day or at least once a week! It frosts up pretty quickly.
That does frost up quickly! Are you sure it isnt on to high a setting

Maybe I was exaggerating a little bit boro, but not much!
it doesn't seem to have a setting, there's only one for the fridge.
I've put up with it for two years and we hopefully won't be here this time next year so I suppose I can put up with it a while longer!
