Cooking Goulash today and I have no sour cream.

Can I just add some lemon juice to ordinary double cream ?

That or a little vinegar...
Normal cream just before serving is good too. Made my first goulash last night but forgot to add the cream before serving, but I do know it is good that way.

Thanks folks - went with the lemon juice.
Couldn't taste any major difference from shop bought soured cream
