I live on my own and usually make up meals and divide them into portions and freeze them

I have a 500g of mince to do something with, I've already made chilli, and am a bit bored with bolognese and cottage pie!

could anyone give me any good tried and tested recipes?

Thanks!

I dont have time right now to find an actual recipe for you, but do a curry with the mince instead of chuncks of meat. it is nice. i would recommend a pataks curry paste if you dont have all the spices.
Minced Paddys

Take three irish men.........

Seriously though Minced Patties

chop up an onion and mix with the mince
add whatever herbs and spices you fancy ie garlic, oregano, paprika basically whatever you want.
Add a beaten egg to the mixture
then add flour until the mixture combines into a dough like consistency.
Make into meatballs and fry on either side on the pan until they brown.
Mix two oxo cubes with boiling water and add to the pan.
Simmer for twenty minutes until the gravy thickens.

You can also add onions to the gravy and sometines to save mysself time i add some sliced potatoes and after 20 minutes hey presto a complete meat.

Took this out of the freezer this morning for tonights dinner!
or burgers
Layer sliced onion, sliced carrots, sliced potato in alternate layers with the mince finishing with potato on the top. A cup of oxo gravy and cover with a lid or tin foil. Bake in a hot oven for 1 hour. Mince and dumplings, mince and large yorkshire, mince with cheese scones on top. Lasagne.
How about an easy but different meat loaf?
(By mince my American mind thinks it's the equivalent of ground beef or hamburger).

1 lb ground beef
1 egg
1 small onion, diced
1 green pepper, diced
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 packet onion soup mix
barbecue sauce

Mix the first 4 ingredients with your hands.
Evenly distribute into cups of a muffin tin. A large cupped one will produce about 4 "muffins" while a smaller one will produce 6 to 8.
Pour barbeque sauce on top of each (actually, I mix about 1/2 cup of barbeque sauce into the mixture as well.)
Bake at 350F for 15-20 minutes.
Serve with mashed potatoes or mac and cheese.

Many thanks,
and all these recipes can be easily divided and frozen?
Make the meatballs as in warpig1's post and add to a Dolmio spicy tomato sauce, serve with pasta or noodles. You can also freeze this into individual portions.
Stuffed red or green peppers .Just make up the mince with a finely chopped onion ,seasoning( a sprinkle of stuffing mix is nice ).breadcrumbs, and a beaten egg .Halve and deseed the peppers .Stuff them with the mixture and bake for around 45 mins. Once cool you can freeze them.
Savoury mince is nice ..it's just the mince fried with a chopped onion, add diced vegetables potatoes, swede, carrot, peppers, garlic, sweetcorn and some peas.Thicken with oxo stock ,cool and freeze.
When i have done some batch cooking i have found a very good way to cook food i have already made straight from the freezer though i have to say this really is mostly good for stews soups chilli etc
you can buy those foil containers now at most supermarkets and all i do is portion out what i want in them and freeze then to cook i simply put the foil container into the pre-heated over at around 200-220 degrees C for about 30-40 mins stirring once halfway through then serve mind that is in a fan oven but you get the picture..
no dishes and the foil container can go int the recycle bin.
