Day in London

My boyfriend has a free afternoon off work in London and I'm about to go abroad for 5 months. I want to take him to somewhere different but special, something not too expensive but a great little place... where should we go?? (p.s. not food - thats already sorted)!

A "flight" on the London eye - these clear sunny days are perfect weather for it.

If you want cheaper just a nice walk along the south bank.

Or if you've got more time/money head to Greenwich.

Also around Canary Wharf is beautiful, they have nice bars and restaurants along the river.

As bongerman suggested you could try the London Eye. I was recently at Temple and had a boat trip up the river at night and it was amazing!

Just makes you realise how beautiful London is! And how much us Londoners take it for granted.

My Girlfriend and I took a cruise up the Thames to Greenwich. That was really nice and Greenwich is so different to the rest of London it feels like a completely different place.

If you go on the eye, the london aquarium is right next to it, then get a water taxi, or the best thing is the DUCK boat, its an amphibious tour along the thames then the boat drives out of the water and along the road!!!
