i have a ford fiesta lx r reg 1200cc.
my heater is only blowing out cold air.
i have checked the water pipes under the bonnet and they are hot.
where is the thermostat?....could this be the problem?
also....the heat sellector switch is electrical and is not connected to a cable like older models to the blower or matrix.....could this be the problem?

My wifes 1996 Fiesta had a faulty Heater Control Valve that caused the same problem as yours.
Most common cause is the heater control valve up on the bulkhead. the other 1% of times this fault occurs it is the heater control panel but go for the valve first.
Stat should be near the coil pack if my (rusty) memory serves
