descaling my kettle

when i boil up my kettle with vinegar init to descale it do i leave it stood for an hour or what? help

the reaction you describe should work at room temp tho:

caco3 + 2H AC = CaAc2 (sol) + CO2 + H20

I dont know Peter - i'm sure i saw Yoko Ono perform this piece once.
Oh and she screamed all the time the kettle boiled and then took her clothes off to pour out the vinegar.

HI what I do is use white vinegar and water half and half , swill it around for a few minutes until you can see the lime scale coming off then rinse it well then fill, boil,empty then refill.
