I still have the recipe my mum used to make - it's very very potent. This one includes oranges, lemons, bruised ginger as well as the obvious spuds.

Potato wine? Do you mean pocheen, usually distilled(illegally) in Northern Ireland?

Yes, I did wonder if it was a knowledge of Poteen (?) that was required ;-)

some vodka is also made from potatoes
