Ive tried spraying with Dove but I find Jeyes Fluid a lot more effective, you can stretch the wash for another 3 days, dries the skin out a tad though.
It's to do with your sympathetic nervous system (part of your central nervous system).

When you are scared, your body adopts a flight or fight mode. This means that adrenaline is released which helps to divert blood supply to the parts of your body that need it most (i.e if you were being chased by a mad axeman, blood supply is diverted to your legs so you can run faster)

This means that your nervous system, which normally has conscious control of your bladder, is less interested in controlling the sphincters in your bladder. Hey presto - you pee your pants!
I don't use kitchen towel at home. It's better and more comfortable to spread an old white t-shirt over the chair. It will stick to you like kitchen towel when you stand up for the final moment but at least thin brown streaks will alert you to when enough is enough. Obviously wash your hands before preparing food !
Hooray for Madgirl, some sense at last!
I'm feeling a little nauseous after reading all this! lol
